Barham landholder wins Fox Dog Lotto draw

A landholder from Barham won last week’s draw in Fox & Wild Dog Lotto, a competition being run by Murray Local Land Services to encourage the control of foxes and wild dogs.

Local Land Services is keen to recognise the efforts of farmers who participate in programs to control foxes and wild dogs over wide areas of farmland and forest.

Both are a serious threat to lamb survival and also decimate small native animals such as glider possums, birds and lizards that are part of a healthy environment.

Leslie Gordon entered the competition draw by buying baits from Murray Local Land Services recently to control foxes. He won the bag of dog food and is still in the running for the grand prize of an aluminium boat package that will be drawn at the Henty Machinery Field Days in September.

Entry forms are available from Murray Local Land Services offices. Just scan your photo of fox or wild dog control and email to foxdog.lotto@lls.nsw.gov.au, or buy baits from Local Land Services up until 15 September.
